The Grief Holding Method™
Honoring Stories, Transforming Hearts, Creating Legacies
A Spiritually Informed and Integrated Educational Program
Exhausted from performing “fine” while privately struggling? The Grief Holding Method™ is an educational program that helps grievers identify the loss of self that builds through a lifetime of losses. It guides participants toward a loving relationship with themselves, allowing grief to be voiced and forgiveness to take hold, so the love that accompanies grief can finally be felt from the heart rather than feared from the ego. Using storytelling, reflective dialogue and somatic grounding techniques, this heart-centered, non-clinical approach supports hospice teams, caregivers, and anyone carrying grief they haven’t been able to name.

Grief and love are one
We only grieve what we have loved. Grief is love continuing after what it held is gone. We are not trying to get over grief, because that would mean getting over love. We are learning to release the weight, while keeping the love, and to find ourselves again inside it.
Why hospice teams need this
Non-clinical approach
Traditional medical training focuses on clinical protocols, often leaving emotional needs overlooked. This training fills that gap with emotional support and acceptance.
Anticipatory grief
Patients, caregivers, and families often grieve before a loss. Understanding this process helps teams provide compassionate care and emotional support.
Emotional overwhelm
End-of-life care can lead to burnout. Team members gain tools to manage their own emotions while supporting others.
